7 mid-size fashion influencers to follow

We share our favourite UK-based mid-size fashion bloggers and influencers to follow on Instagram for endless mid-size outfit inspiration.

The fashion term ‘mid-size’ refers to women whose bodies sit within the range of a UK size 10 and size 16. It encompasses many of us, with multiple shapes, looks and backgrounds.

If you’re a fan of TikTok or Instagram, you’ll know that there is a whole movement dedicated to celebrating the style of ‘in-betweener’ women who are neither petite nor plus-size. In recent years it’s been possible to think that you’re not catered for in the same way as petite or plus-size, not having your own dedicated ranges.

The average dress size in the UK is 16, which means there are millions of females looking for outfit inspiration from mid-size fashion influencers or wanting to discover mid-size influencers who represent the majority of the sizes that women wear.

Luckily, there are plenty of influencers who are keen to share their fashion hacks, shopping bargains and outfit inspo with mid-size fashionistas.

So, if you’ve ever felt that your body type is under-represented in the media, we’ve put together a shortlist of our favourite UK mid-size fashion influencers you should consider following. Check them out for some inspiration and a sense that your needs are being given attention:

Hannah Briggs

Hannah found her niche as a mid-size fashion influencer after struggling with her mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic. She wanted to share uplifting content with fellow ‘in-betweeners’ and fill their feeds with positivity and body confidence. We love this ethos and it’s certainly helping to make her really popular and an authentic influencer to follow.

With over 26k followers, UK-born Hannah posts from her home in Leeds and features outfits from affordable High Street brands including Zara, H&M and Primark.

We also love how her adorable dog Luna features in many of her videos and images!

Midsize Millennial

The Midsize Millennial (aka Robyn) is a thirty-something mid-size blogger who is on a mission to inspire mid-size millennial women to love their bodies. To see a real person showcasing real clothes, without a whole lot of whitewashing, Robyn is a great influencer to spend some time getting to know. Her website focuses on body acceptance, with blogs showcasing lingerie brands designed for sexy mid-sizers and ethical mid-size fashion brands.

Robyn has an Insta following of over 24k, with posts featuring the very best of mid-sized styles, including floaty floral-print summer dresses and how to wear your bikini with pride.

Nelly London

Nelly London describes herself as a body-positive influencer who openly shares her struggles with an eating disorder and her path to recovery. Nelly is not afraid to tackle taboo subjects and while her content is fashion-focused, she also has Insta stories that share her experiences with topics as varied as period pants and baking.

She has also featured in Cosmo UK, appearing in their ‘This Is Healthy’ campaign, which celebrated wellness and fitness for women of all sizes. She’s well-known, well-respected and well-liked.

Her personal journey is documented on Instagram, where she has a whopping 417k followers.

Midsize Magpie

Maggie is a mid-size Instagram influencer and YouTuber who loves re-purposing her outfits and scouring charity shops for quirky fashion choices. For some fascinating inspiration and shaking up how you think about your own style, she’s a great one to keep an eye on.

If you’re concerned about the impact of the fast-fashion industry, Maggie’s posts will really resonate with you, as she is a big advocate of slow-fashion and making sustainable fashion choices. It’s a chance to follow an influencer whose ethics match your own.

We love Maggie’s sense of humour too – and she never takes herself too seriously – often sharing ‘bloopers’ from her videos with her over 40k Insta followers. It’s a hugely refreshing approach on Instagram which can sometimes feel inauthentic.

Jess Elle King

London-based Jess Elle King is a mid-size fashion influencer in her late-twenties, who is also a self-confessed pizza addict (aren’t we all!)

Jess began her blog in 2018 to share mid-size fashion ideas but also posts some great advice for millennials who want to get to grip with their finances and start saving money. Her diverse approach means there’s always something interesting to catch your eye.

She’s a regular at summer festivals and shares her ‘glamping’ style with her 67.2k social media followers – most recently with a series of posts showing the funky outfits she wore to Latitude 2021.

Styled By Chloe

We are big fans of Chloe Pavlou’s super-cute style. Her look is always bang on-trend – so whether you are looking for outfit inspo for a first date, a weekend walk, or cocktails with the girls – Chloe is your go-to fashion guru.

Chloe’s fashion finds are usually from the High Street, so stealing her style won’t break the bank. She also has a Depop shop where you can purchase the fashion items she wears in her social media posts.

The thrifty mid-sized Insta influencer is famed for her videos of the bargains she bags in the sales. Her latest video featuring her haul from Zara’s summer sale included dresses, shorts, and accessories and ideas to update your summer wardrobe.
